Snakes of Ciudad Real.

In Ciudad Real we can find different species of snakes. Only one of them is dangerous, the Snub-nosed viper. Some are venomous like the very big Montpellier snake or the False smooth snake, but they are not dangerous for humans. The rest of snakes are not venomous. We are talking about the Ladder snake, the Viperine water snake, the Grass snake or the Horseshoe whip snake. 

There´s another snake which is pretty curious. It´s very small, lives under stones and is blind. It looks like a worm. It´s called the Iberian worm lizard.

We should never catch or disturb them!
